Flylight are a microlight aircraft supplier and manufacturer based on the excellent Sywell aerodrome, a lively airfield that caters for all types of aircraft and was established as one of the country’s first recreational flying sites back in 1926. Centrally located at Northampton we are only 15 minutes from junction 15 on the M1.

Our friendly team are always happy to help with any microlight related queries and are proud to be manufacturers of some of the best microlight aircraft on the market. No job is too big or small and we look forward to assisting with any queries you may have.

Professional Servicing

Our staff includes senior BMAA inspectors, experienced check pilots and fully-qualified engineers for Rotax 900 4-stroke power units)  We carry out routine 10hr, 25hr, 50hr, 100hr, 200hr or 500hr engine services, shock load tests, as well as permit inspections and check flights on all microlight type. All servicing work is completed along with a detailed service report of the work carried out. We only use genuine Rotax spares.

Flylight Airsports Club

The Flylight Microlight Flying Club is a social club which offers to members:

  • Focal point for organising fly-ins / fly-outs on a regular basis
  • Use of club room and facilities on the airfield
  • Reduced landing fees to all club members using based aircraft
  • Discounts on aircraft, servicing and accessories
  • Free help and advice
  • Contact and knowledge sharing with experienced pilots

It’s a legal requirement that student pilots and instructors are members of the same club. All members should read and abide by club flying orders.

We are lucky to have the use of the superb facilities of Sywell Aerodrome. Obviously this is a privileged position and we demand the highest standards of airmanship and respect from club members.

Expereinced Club members help those new to the sport, with mentoring   which includes trips to various Fly-ins around the country and abroad.

Membership includes use of Sywell Aerodrome’s facilities and flight services.
